Videos

I grew up in the era of  MTV when they actually played music videos.  On Saturday, August 1, 1981 at 12:01 AM MTV was launched with the words "Ladies and gentlemen, rock and roll.  The first music video shown on MTV was The Buggles' "Video Killed the Radio Star.

The original purpose of MTV was to be "music television", playing music videos 24 hours a day and seven days a week.  The Original VJs and format ran from 1981 to 1994.  I am so happy that we have YouTube now, because we can watch any video we want at any time.  Which is a good thing, since MTV doesn't play videos exclusively anymore.

Songs pop into my head all the time and some times they get stuck there! This is the longest one song has been stuck in head for awhile! I watched Thor: Ragnarok on Netflix about a week ago. Ever since then Led Zeppelin's Immigrant song has been stuck in my head. Sometimes it will wake me from a sound sleep! I will hear the mesmerizing rhythm of Jimmy Page's guitar and the tribal scream of Robert Plant and boom I am awake! Maybe I should make that my alarm clock!
