Rocker Chic Danette

I was born in the 70’s, grew up in the 80’s, and found my LOVE OF ROCK in the 90’s!  So, my musical tastes are different from most!  I was forced to listen to whatever my parents or older siblings listened to during the 70’s.  My parents were mostly into show tune 8-tracks and easy listening on the radio, and my siblings were mostly into teen pop bands like Shaun Cassidy.

My earliest records of choice were a couple of Halloween records. One being the Disney Album Chilling, Thrilling, Sounds of The Haunted House and the other was a Halloween Album full of sound effects and Halloween songs like “Purple People Eater” and “Monster Mash”.

Rockin' in the 80's!

During the 80’s, the friends I had growing up were mostly music fans also.  We listened to everything from New Wave and Alternative to Pop and Hair Bands!  Duran Duran was a big influence in my life during this time.   My first crush was on John Taylor of Duran Duran, and I was part of a group of so-called “Duranies”!

Getting Harder in the 90's!

I started getting into harder Rock music in the late 80’s and early 90’s.  One of the first rock cassettes I bought was Motely Crue’s Dr. Feelgood.  I was also heavily into AC/DC and Def Leppard.  The heaviest I ever got was Megadeth.  I just love the intro to “Train Of Consequences”!

The Rest is Rock History!

I met my Rock Soulmate The Rocker in 2009 and the rest is Rock and Roll History!  For being such a “Classic Rock” guy, I have even been able to get him into cool bands like Depeche Mode and The Cure!  Its funny, but since we’ve been a rockin’ team we’ve seen dozens of concerts, and the band we have seen the most has been… you guessed it… Duran Duran! Ha!

Due to both of us being saved by Rock and Roll,

it was only fitting that we were married in 2012 in Las Vegas at the Kiss

Hotter Than Hell Wedding Chapel by a minister who was dressed as Gene Simmons!  Of course our Honeymoon agenda included a concert by Kiss and Motley Crue.   Hopefully this gives you some insight as to what I’m all about.  But don’t be surprised, I still may bring out some “Purple People Eater” on my blog someday…
