Top Hard Rock Groups

I was inspired to make my website from my husband James (aka The Rocker).  It seemed like he enjoyed making his site.  I was doing a lot of the original photography for his site anyway.  I am not as good as a writer as he is, so James decided to do it more in an interview question style.  Mr. Rocker himself will be my first interview, and the first topic I chose for him was his top five favorite bands of all time.

# 1 - Led Zeppelin

James' Favorite Led Zeppelin song is:
Immigrant Song

James' love for Led Zeppelin did not start until he was 27 years old in 1990.  He was exposed to them earlier in his life, but did not appreciate Led Zeppelin until then.  Technically they were not a band anymore and had already broken up.  But, when he finally got a decent stereo and heard Immigrant Song through those new speakers

the song drew him in.  He heard those words Hammer Of The Gods, it empowered

him and pumped him up.  I told him like Rocky and Eye of the Tiger.  He laughed and said, " Yes.".  Led Zeppelin is still on his bucket list to see live.  It would take the hammer of the gods to have the Mighty Zeppelin play together again.

# 2 - Black Sabbath

James' Favorite Black Sabbath song is:
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath

James became a fan of Black Sabbath when he was 17 years old in 1979.  Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is the song that turned him into a Sabbath fan.  Still to this day it is still his favorite song by them.  He calls Black Sabbath dark metal and it helped him through his teenage years.  He had some rough times during his high school years.  When

he listened to Black Sabbath back then it was like it was ok to feel gloomy.

For The Rockers 50th birthday I got him Black Sabbath concert tickets in Las Vegas on September 2013.  I was able to get him a VIP package that gave us row ten from the stage.

I am glad I was able to fulfill a concert from his bucket list.  James still to this day says it was one of the best concerts he has ever seen.

#3 - Deep Purple

James' Favorite Deep Purple song is:
Space Truckin

James became a fan of Deep Purple when he was 16 years old in 1978. Space Truckin was the song that turned him into a Deep Purple fan.

Space Truckin is both his and my favorite Deep Purple song.  James said Deep Purple also helped him through his high school years. Their music took him away from things and helped him escape life.

In August 2017 I surprised The Rocker and my little brother with Deep Purple tickets. We saw them in Los Angeles, California. I am glad I was able to put another check on James' bucket list.

We will be seeing Deep Purple again in September 2018 in Irvine, California!

#4 - Rolling Stones

James' Favorite Rolling Stones song is:
Honky Tonk Women

James became a Rolling Stones fan at the age of 20 in 1983.  His favorite song is Honky Tonk Women that came out on July 4th, 1969.   James discovered The Rolling Stones later in life. He found them when he was stationed in Japan with the Navy.  The Rocker describes The Stones as harder,

The Rocker has not  successfully checked The Rolling Stones off his Bucket List.  We have had times were we thought we should go to that show, but have never pulled the trigger.  Hopefully it is not too late.

but a safer rock.  James says he likes the variety that the Rolling Stones have in their music.
James' Favorite Aerosmith song is:
Sweet Emotion

#5 - Aerosmith

James became an Aerosmith fan at the age of 12 in 1975.  The Toys In The Attic album had a big influence on him.  It took the preteen Rocker and made him feel good and took him away from everything going on in his life at the time.  He says Aerosmith and Kiss saved his life! Still to this day Sweet Emotion is still his favorite Aerosmith song.

James first saw Aerosmith on March 2004 in Little Rock, Arkansas.  I saw Aerosmith with The Rocker on August 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada. I was able to check one off The Rocker Chic's bucket list.

Music The Drug of Choice!

James' whole life he has felt like music was like some kind of drug.  But, it is not a drug in the true sense.  As early  as 12 years old music became his drug of choice. He was addicted and music became his best friend growing up.  Music never caused him trouble and never let him down.
James (aka The Rocker) has 95 more artists on his top 100 hard rock group list.
